Editorial policy
Silver World Briefing aims to make clear, dependable writing about silver and material culture. We explain our reasoning, distinguish fact from interpretation and correct the record when a published detail is wrong.
Accuracy and context
Articles are prepared with attention to verifiable details and the context needed to understand them. We use precise language, define specialist terms and avoid claims broader than the available support. When an interpretation is open to discussion, we present it as interpretation rather than settled fact.
Independence and interests
Editorial decisions are made for relevance to readers, not as a condition of a commercial relationship. Where a contributor, partner or other interest could reasonably affect how material is understood, that connection is disclosed clearly. Payment does not determine an editorial conclusion.
Corrections
If you notice an error or an unclear statement, contact us through the Contact page and identify the article and passage. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, amend the text in a proportionate way and make the correction clear to readers.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid, sponsored or partner-provided material is identified plainly where it appears and kept distinct from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; when that is the case, the image is labelled so readers can distinguish it from documentary imagery.
Materials tell stories beyond their surfaces
Silver is both a material and a cultural presence. Its qualities invite close attention, while its objects and traditions reveal the meanings people make around it.
